Women's Ministry Retreat

Updated: Sep 29

Rustic Rose Hall is the perfect venue to host a women’s ministry retreat for your church group. Retreats are an important part of your ministry. Escaping the day-to-day demands of life is so beneficial in reconnecting with Christ and bonding with other women in fellowship.

Bible Study

To begin the perfect retreat, schedule a check in time between 4pm and 6pm at the Cabins at Holly Creek.  You can assign cabins as guests arrive, or you could allow guests to sign up ahead of time for cabin assignments.  Feel free to use the sign-up sheets at the bottom of this page.

Sign Up Sheet

Place a small snack and beverage on the bar in each cabin for arriving guests to enjoy and to make them feel welcome.  Along with the snack, place a copy of the itinerary for the weekend for each attendee.  We recommend keeping the itinerary simple. Don’t overschedule. This retreat is an opportunity to slow down and hear the voice of God.

Cabin bar

For the first night, you can rent out Rustic Rose Hall for 5 hours and enjoy a worship session, a 30-minute speaker, and a large dinner.  You could also opt for something a little more casual for the first night and grill burgers, sit by the pool, and sing worship songs around the campfire.  This is all dependent upon what your speaker has planned and your budget.

Heated Pool

Day two should begin with a breakfast buffet in Rustic Rose Hall, which has been rented out for the full day, and a large group worship session.  Place table talk cards on each of the table tops to encourage ladies to share with one another. This is a good time for a speaker to share, but keep sessions under an hour to keep your women interested. Provide an outline for your attendees to take notes. Break out into smaller groups for discussion questions.

Rustic Rose Hall Seating

Alternate the types of activities planned for the day.  After spiritual instruction, spend some time crafting and building relationships. This could include painting, sewing, paper-crafting, Bible journaling, etc. Ladies can use the game room to enjoy ping pong or play corn hole on the back patio. You could spend the afternoon exploring nature in Beavers Bend or just spending some quality time under the pines of Holly Creek.  You can grab lunch in Hochatown or take a picnic lunch to enjoy at the swimming and picnic areas in Beavers Bend. Take plenty of photos and encourage one another to try new things.

Paddleboats

Head back for your next session at Rustic Rose Hall.  Be sure to get back in time for the ladies to freshen up before heading into worship. Speaking of worship, Rustic Rose Hall has a projector and speakers if you do not have live musicians to lead. After the nightly session, draw for door prizes. Some fun door prizes can include t-shirts, bookmarks, bags, etc.

Event Venue

End the service with a meal served inside of the elegant Hall.  Depending on your budget, you can go all out and make it very formal with servers and flower arrangements, or you can keep it low-key and set up an Italian buffet. Either way, try to make it feel special for the women attending.

Gift Bag

Found this one on Amazon.

After dinner, pass out a nightly devotional card for women to take back to their cabins and discuss in small groups. Women can spend the evening at the pool, around the campfires, or bundled up on the sofa in their cabins sharing life stories with one another.

Fire Pit

Join up in the morning to share a simple waffle bar breakfast served on the back patio with hot coffee or hot chocolate. Invite everyone to sit under the pine trees at the pergola to worship and listen to your guest speaker for the morning. Pray over the group and then review check-out guidelines with them.

Pergola

This will be a retreat that will feel refreshing and energizing to the women attending. It could be a retreat that changes someone's life forever. We look forward to hosting your group and making you all feel welcomed and loved.

Here are printable sign-up sheets for each cabin. Feel free to use them.
