Imagine hosting a family event that everyone actually wants to be part of. Rent the five cabins and pile the kids into the lofts where they will create memories of staying up late telling ghost stories with all of their cousins. Pile the lofts full of pillows and stuffed animals and flashlights.
They will spend their free time at the playground or in the heated pool splashing and then roast marshmallows for s’mores over the firepit while the adults enjoy conversations and catch up with friends.
The Cabins at Holly Creek and Rustic Rose Hall are all inside of a locked, gated area to keep the kids safe to run from cabin to cabin and enjoy all of the friends and family that you have gathered together. Fill the coolers with rootbeer, popsicles, and keep baskets of snacks for them to grab whenever they start to run on empty.
Gather the whole family together in Rustic Rose Hall for grand family dinners serving the traditional favorites for everyone. Utilize the onsite kitchen or grill on the back patio. There are round or rectangle tables available and 200 chairs, so there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the smoked brisket, potato salad, and baked beans.
Most families are going to create a kids table; there is ample space to set them up at a long rectangle or round table in their own corner filled with table top games or crafts for entertainment. Decorate the tables with framed family or friend photos reflecting years of memories. Create a tribute photo collage in the welcome area with photos of those that have moved on. Place buckets of trivia cards or dad jokes on each table to promote conversation. Hire a band or a DJ and get everyone on the dance floor. Set up cornhole or horse shoes outside or invite guests to the game room to get competitive in a game of poker, ping pong, or foosball. Set up the wooden backdrop inside for photo opportunities or take a large group photo outside at the pergola.

Break into groups and head into the surrounding areas for some fun excursions. The shoppers will want to visit the local gift shops and antique shops. Broken Bow has several cute antique shops, and several gift shops are littered from Broken Bow through Hochatown selling everything from t’shirts to big foot items. Visit The Forest Store in Hochatown and shop for some unique wooden items including specialty cutting boards, and splurge on some specialty chocolate at Loblolly Chocolates. Head up the road to The Cave and explore the Hochatown Mountain Co gift shop and candy store. Eat some delicious BBQ at Naaman’s while you’re there. End all that shopping with a visit to one of the wineries like Girls Gone Wine or Fish Tales.
For those that enjoy outdoor adventure, head to Beavers Bend State Park. This park has so much to offer for outdoor enthusiasts. Hike the Friend’s Trail and see beautiful white rapids of the Mountain Fork River. Hike Cedar Bluff Trailhead to discover a beautiful overlook. Fly fishing is a popular outdoor activity in Beavers Bend State Park, too. Take the golfers to the Cedar Creek Golf course and the kids to the Beavers Bend Depot and Trail Rides. Rent kayaks, canoes, or paddleboats on the Mountain Fork River. Rent a pontoon boat or jet skis to enjoy a day on the lake. Swimming areas are scattered throughout the area as well as picnic tables and restrooms. Ziplining and go-cart racing are some other fun options.
For those more interested in something more adult, head to the brand new Choctaw Landing Hochatown and enjoy over 600 slot machines including penny classics, progressives, and high-stakes slots. Or get competitive at the table games with blackjack, roulette, and more. Explore the art display featuring 40 pieces from Choctaw artists.
Finally, head back to Holly Creek for more family time and share all the stories from your adventures in Broken Bow and Hochatown.
